About Robert

Robert Heideman moved to St. Louis in 2007 and entered the real estate financing industry.  For his first two years in St. Louis, Robert was the head of a loan department at a national real estate investment company. Servicing a $36 million portfolio provided him with invaluable lessons on the proper way to create a loan, and the pitfalls that are found when things are not done properly.

Prior to St. Louis, Robert spent ten years in Chicago, where he owned and operated various companies that were able to capitalize on the real estate market. He bought and sold hundreds of residential and commercial properties, purchased non-performing mortgages, owned and operated a full-service brokerage firm, and owned and operated a construction company.  Robert converted apartments into condos, built new construction homes and redeveloped vacant land into a large residential condo and townhome community.

Utilizing this 20+ career in the real estate and lending industries, along with partnering with a prestigious company like Delmar Mortgage, Robert Heideman can provide answers and solutions to any situation that his clients may face.

Robert knows that all of the experience in the world is worthless without the basic ability to listen to clients and follow-through with their wishes. This led to the creation of The Heideman Group in 2013. This is a specialized group of Mortgage Advisors that are trained to analyze client’s financial and personal goals and cross-reference those goals with their current financial landscape.  The outcome is the creation of a perfect loan strategy that helps homeowners increase their net worth while decreasing their overall interest expense.

Robert is committed to making a charitable donation every time he closes a loan for his clients. He created the Charitable Promises initiative, which encourages his clients to pick a charity that will benefit from their home mortgage transaction. With the multitude of problems in the world (some hitting closer to home than others), Charitable Promises allows everyone to be a part of the solution. This initiative has reached many local, national, and international charities.

On a personal note, Robert’s wife Abby (a St. Louis native) joined The Heideman Group in 2019. Their children, Tyler, Charley and Austin keep them very busy with sporting events and school activities. Robert’s extensive involvement with the local community has confirmed that he firmly believes that giving back (with time, money, and knowledge) has shaped him into the person he is today.
